One Reply Can Change a Veteran's Path

More veterans than ever are using our Heroes Network program, and the connections they make matter. Every connection starts with action. A veteran Advisee might be searching for their first job after separating from service or for their next career move. An Advisor might be sharing lessons learned from their career. Both might be reconnecting with the person who once helped them or offering that help to someone new.

We are seeing more of this activity. Members are returning to the platform, starting conversations, responding to requests, and agreeing to meet. Heroes Network has become an active community where people share their experiences and offer practical support to one another.

What the Numbers Show

In the first half of 2026, we recorded the strongest quarter-over-quarter gains to date:

• Platform activity rose 38.6%. Members are returning and engaging more often

• Advisee-to-Advisor conversations rose 144.4%. More veterans than ever are reaching out for guidance

• More than 82% of connection requests received a response

• More than 46% of these connections led to a meeting, indicating that many introductions progressed

• Early third-quarter results are even higher, with an 85.7% response rate and a 64.3% meeting acceptance rate

Every one of those numbers represents a Veteran who reached out and an Advisor who answered. And the numbers of veterans (Advisees/Heroes) and Advisors continue to grow. There are now 3,172 Heroes Linked platform users, and 81,371 veterans and veteran supporters are Heroes Network email subscribers.

How you can take part

Heroes Network works because its members participate. Here are three ways to help.

1. If you are looking for guidance, find an Advisor whose experience fits your goals. Introduce yourself, explain what you are working toward, and ask a few specific questions.

2.  If you are an Advisor, reply to every Advisee who has asked for help. Even a short reply can help a veteran figure out their next step.

3.  If you are returning after time away, update your profile and look through the new connections, resources, and opportunities.

Small actions add up

Keeping your profile current makes it easier for other members to find you. Sending a message can start a helpful conversation, and replying to one lets another member know that someone is paying attention. A single meeting can grow into a professional relationship that lasts for years.
